Laberg

It is natural for me to start this story with the farm Laberg since it has been in my family since Mons lived. And this farm will be my main focus since, through my childhood, most of the stories I have heard originate from here. It starts whit, my great-grandpa, Søren Urnes, took his house in 1922 and moved from Bakken in Jostedalen to Ytre Eikjo, where he got this farm from his father-in-law Mons ². It is one of the farms that origin from the farm Ytre Eikjo. Then in 1974, this farm was divided into two properties where my uncle, Steinar Urnes, got the farm and my mother, Berit Urnes, got the other part. And there, my family cabin today is located.
